Product Description

The 32SW from Sunangel, based on the OKI C series of desktop printers, is an LED device capable of printing designs onto dark or coloured media using white toner. Designed for craft applications, the 32SW can print onto media up to 220gsm allowing you to create custom white designs for everything from restaurant menus, wedding stationery, invitations and even greetings cards. The toner even possesses fluorescent properties, adding extra impact to your designs when exposed to UV light sources. At a fraction of the cost of other white toner devices, the Sunangel 32SW is an affordable alternative for anyone looking to add white toner as part of their design process.

Can this printer be used with self weeding transfer papers for printing clothing etc?

- Hi Lee, Thanks for getting in touch. The Sunangel 32SW is capable of printing onto a range of media up to 220gsm with the intended purpose of printing onto coloured media rather than transfer papers. However, as it has a straight feed path it is possible to print onto unusual media and so transfer papers would likely be suitable. We have not tested the machine specifically on any transfer media and the results may vary from brand to brand. I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further questions. - Hi Thomas, Thanks for contacting Printerbase. Unfortunately, the short answer at this time is no on printing white on top of colours with this machine. The reason for this is that the toners are in the wrong order for printing a white coat last, as the white toner occupies the first bay in the sequence. The idea behind the 32SW was really the ability to print white onto dark media as opposed to for printing transfers. Having said that, Sunangel are currently developing a software (at the prototype stage at present) that may well allow the toner order to be changed in the machine, which would subsequently enable T-shirt transfer printing. Testing is currently being undertaken with the new software, provided it works as planned, they should have a workable solution in the coming weeks which can be bundled with these devices to allow transfer printing. Can I feed 35-37cm long paper in the printer? I don't need to print the entire sheet, just need to print some portion of the 17x35-37cm sheets.

- Good Morning, Thank you for your question. Using the bypass feeder on this machine and a custom paper size setting it is possible to print onto sheets up to 1320mm in length. However, the maximum width on which you are able to print is 215mm. If your paper is narrower than 215mm, then I can confirm that you would be able to print onto 37cm long pieces. - Hi Karen, Thank you for your question. The Sunangel 32SW is supplied all four colours (in this case White, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow). These are starter toners rated at 750 pages at ISO standard (~5%). - Good Morning Richie, The 32SW does not contain black toner, however, it is possible to print a composite black using a combination of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. How effective printing this way is would depend on the application you have in mind. As the toner order of this machine has the white as the first colour, you would not be able to print a white flood coat on the back of a transfer for instance as this would require the white to be the last colour to print.
