The best and most accurate place for guidance on changing your Xerox toner is in your user guide. These are usually delivered with your printer but can also be downloaded from the Xerox support website. Alternatively, follow the simple steps in our guide below to change your Xerox toner cartridges.
1. Turn the printer on.
2. Open the front cover to access Xerox toner cartridges.
3. Pull out the old Xerox toner and set it aside for recycling.
4. Remove the new Xerox toner cartridge from the packaging and remove the protective materials from the cartridge as directed in the packaging labels
5. Slowly shake the new cartridge five or six times to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.
6. Hold the cartridge by the handle. Slowly insert the cartridge into the opening of the printer.
7. The tabs on the sides of the cartridge and tracks inside the printer will guide the cartridge into the correct position until it locks into place.
8. Close the front cover. Make sure that the door is securely closed. When the green system status light is solid, the printer is ready.
