Xerox Phaser 6700DN A4 Colour Laser Printer - DISCONTINUED

We bought this printer as an A4 proofer for school photography. We had been using a Xerox 7760. On paper this printer would be faster with reduced buffing time due to the better onboard processor, this is not the case. We also found that we were not able to get a custom profile to work as desired on this machine. The step from pure white at 255 to approx 238 was too much and cause's harsh lines rather than smooth graduation of colour. For basic office work it is amazingly fast with good print quality, although i would say that unless huge print volumes are required, our xerox 6280 does the job as well if not a little slower. Not the printer I was wanting and as it was purchased on 1 year pagepack I have struggled to use it for anything. We reverted back to the 2 7760 printers as A4 only.

I would just like to say, the service you guys gave us was great, and also very efficient. I would also like to say the product itself is brilliant, it prints very well, also being the ONLY colour printer within the office, it is extremely great, the print speed is fantastic especially when having to print multiple documents off, and I would also like to vouch that the quality is perfect and gives good quality documents from start to finish. We have never had any problems with it, and I am more than happy to use you guys again I would like to give the rating a full 5/5

The idea was to save money, not waste it! Sad really, but we only had the printer for 1 week. Tried to print multiple copies of a small (58 page) document. Printer spewed out the first 14 double-sided pages, then begun printing the second copy, eventually printing further pages of the same document. No copy actually completed printing. All setup configurations were good (and checked again), so most likely a faulty unit. Not a good start. A few pages of any document, as many times as you like, will print perfectly though. Expensive option then for what can be done on a much smaller printer.
