I have been wanting to get a photo printer for a while and with much research this is the one I decided upon. It's a sizable printer, so keep it in mind and check the dimensions, but it is expected as it does print large A3 prints, which is something I'm really enjoying. Quality is obviously fantastic, afterall, Canon don't mess about with these things! If like me you're looking for professional print quality to a brilliant standard I would really recommend. Also, thank you to printerbase with helping me with any questions and getting it all set up. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

So far so good, We brought this for crafts printing on card and has been everything we expected the print is crisp, blacks black and colours vibrant. The size was a slight issue only in as far as not realising how big the printer was. Connecting it wireless took a few goes but once connected its works with devices which means the children can print via an app from ipads or moblies with ease. There is no interface on the printer which means all controls via a connected device which is all simple to use. Also the support from Printerbase as been quite exceptional from inquiring about the printer before purchase to a courtesy call after sale they have been on call to give honest straight froward advice.

- Hi Jules, Thanks for getting in touch. This printer does support printing on card when fed through the manual feed but the results can vary depending on type. For best results, we'd advise printing on Canon's specialty media which supports gloss, matte and fine art papers up to 350gsm. - Hi Chris, Thanks for getting in touch. After speaking to our technical support team they have confirmed this machine would be ideal. Providing you are within the media weight specification the printer will produce some great quality images. This machine will accept media upto 300gsm in weight. You can also set the paper type within the print driver so that the printer knows what paper you are using and can use the best print quality setting for your document. - Hi Jools Thanks for getting in touch regarding the Canon Pro 100S. In the current Canon range of Pro Photo devices, only the Pro 10S, Pro 1 and Pro 1000 use the LUCIA pigment ink system. The Pro 100S is a dye based model using the Chromalife ink set and will not work with any other ink set. - Hi Mark, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately this isn't something Canon quote. Due to the nature of this machine and it being aimed at the photographic industry each print will contain a different amount of ink coverage so its impossible to say. It also depends on what setting you have the printer on and what media you are using. The higher the setting in terms of print quality the more ink it will use to create the best output. This is the same in regards to the ink cartridge yields. The printer will ship with a set of ink cartridges however they will only be part filled / starter inks.
