The Lucia12-ink pigment-based system has a wide colour gamut that produces vivid colour images, whilst the Chroma optimiser ink helps to keep an even glossiness across the entire page. The Pro 1's multiple black and grey inks also allow you to produce excellent B&W images that have smooth shades and tonal gradations. With a choice of media weights and options available up to 350gsm, that include Gloss, Matte and Fine Art papers you can create great quality and long lasting prints. Using the free Canon Print plugin for Adobe Photoshop, PS elements and lightroom the Pro 1 seamlessly links with your photo editing software making it the perfect choice for professional photographers.

Having read many reviews about this printer I was expecting something special, and I have to say I'm not disappointed. The quality of the prints from comp sheets all the way through to the A3+ prints is exceptional for both B&W and colour. If final output perfection is what you want then this is the printer to do gallery quality photos. There are a couple of negatives, I know it isn't going to be a cheap to run printer and that it's large and heavy, but these are things I knew about before buying it, and the quality of output sure makes up for these negatives.
