Great printer but disappointed not to have the rear feed as I can't make best use of scrap paper - now always changing the paper in the tray and forgetting which is in there and having to reprint! Big backwards step from the iP4700, don't understand that decision.

I cannot fault Printerbase as the printer was delivered the morning after I ordered it. First impressions. I bought the ip7250 to replace the ip4700 which needed repairing. The rear-feed on the ip4700 permitted me the use of 240 gsm photo-cards, it is very disappointing that the ip7250 will not even pick them up from the cassette, unless someone can tell me different. Fortunately I have an aging HP 2179 that will do that, but the quality of print did not match the quality of the ip4700. My other requirement was the print-to-CD facility. I have not used that yet, but it is a step forward not having to use a separate tray, which was modified from the ip4300 to the ip4700, so I have two of those. Now I have purchased ip7250 I will learn to live with it but....

I have never bought any other printer than Canon since Inkjet Printers appeared and have always found them excellent machines. This one the iP 7250 is the best ever. The quality of the print is brilliant and it's speed is more than adequate for my purposes, which usually involves printing A5 booklets of up to 16 pages, twice a week and for up to 50 copies.

So far only tried printing letters, envelope labels and download copies from my PC. The resulting prins are clear and sharp. I've not tried printing photographs yet. This means changing the settings in the paper tray whic could be bit of a nuisance. It was easy with my Pixma 4300 which has a paper feed at the back. Can't comment on its wifi capabilities until I try to use it.

Delivery superfast, had a small comms problem with some discs ordered but after a call they replaced with a larger amount, which I thought was a nice touch. The printer does exactly what it is supposed too, takes a little while to fire up, once your aware of that prints good. Replaced my Pixma 4500 that died.

The printer was sent next day and I can't fault the service. the printer takes a it of time to start up when you press print, but in all its brilliant printer, its idea for the kids to use to send there homework too, whether its via the ipad or the laptop.

The order process and delivery were ecellent. For 22 years I have always used Canon printers from an S200, an S400 - which is still functioning, an ip4300 and an ip4500 which gave great service for 5 years. The ip7250 is a retrograde step. Who wants to change a cassette to print one envelope? .The absence of a rear feed limits the size of paper that can be used, the paper feed rollers can't handle anything less than 15 x 10 cm. Roller marks are clearly evident when printing photographs. The included software has thus far failed to recognise or allow connection to the Canon scanner. And who really wants 1.8Gb of bloatware - the scanner driver alone is shown as being 789Mb The print quality is the usual Canon high standard, functionality, features and ease of use is abysmal.

Much better than I expected...very good!

As with my previous pixma printer the print quality is outstanding for the price. The 7250 takes a bit of time getting ready to print each time you send a photo to the printer, and clatters a bit in the process, but actual print times are impressive. Stylish design, great price from Printerbase, but for me it's all about the print quality - five out of five!

Yes, The Pixma IP7250 produces good quality prints...but at a HUGE cost in ink cartridges. Even though I purchased the XL cartridges, in under 2 weeks I have got through 2 sets at a cost of over twice what the printer cost me and I have now had to order a third set. It has certainly not printed as many copies as they claim that the cartridges are capable of. Printer also has trouble feeding through good quality photographic paper and I have to keep adjusting the paper in the cassette every time. Very pleased with the excellent service from Printerbase though....very quick and efficient.

I use this printer for my quality jobs, I also have a Canon PIXMA 3600 workhorse. Print quality excellent and features are efficient. Somewhat frustrated at the extra programs, they took forever to load and do not offer me anything extra to use That I haven't got already.. Have therefore uninstalled hem. But the printer itself is very good, delivery was n time and I'm a happy bunny.

Very pleased with my purchase of Canon iP7250. Been looking for a wireless printer. It works really well, produces very good photos and text. Delivered really quickly from Printerbase. Thanks!

This is my second Pixma printer, and as expected print quality is really good for both photo's and A4 documents. However, I was hugely disappointed with the "My Image Garden" software which was far too big and complex for my elderly PC. Its around 1100MB all together plus the printer driver! Service from Printer base has been outstanding with great price, delivery within 2 days, and a follow up call to check everything was all right.

  • Will cannon pixma iP7250 take 300 gsm card, if not can you recommend a printer that will, thanks.

    Wed Jan 10 2018

    Written by Irene

    • Hi Irene, Thank you for contacting Printerbase. Unfortunately not, it will accept 300gsm photo paper but not card stock. You would need to look at the Canon Pixma Pro iX6850 - https://www.printerbase.co.uk/canon-pixma-ix6850-a3-colour-inkjet-printer.html Other than that you would be looking at one of the larger professional photo printers. like the Canon Pro 100s - https://www.printerbase.co.uk/canon-pixma-pro-100s-a3-colour-inkjet-printer.html This will accept media upto 350gsm. Please do let me kow if you require any further information. Many Thanks Stephen Thomas
