Q: Will the PIXMA iP110 work on Windows 10?
Question by: Sue on 14 Feb 2017 17:07:00
    A: Hi Sue,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Yes, the Canon PIXMA iP110 will work on Windows 10 (32-bit & 64-Bit). However, the drivers for Windows 10 may not be on the setup CD inside the box, so you may have to download this from the Canon Support website -

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you for contacting Printerbase.

Once the battery is fully charged it will print around 240 sheets before it will need recharging. The machine takes around 3 hours to full charge.

Does what is says on the tin
Review by Chris Spearing (Posted on 02/12/2014)
Delighted with this machine. Very compact and light (though the optional battery is hefty). Printing quality is excellent. A little care required with the paper tray - it is the printer lid which raises up. Works fine, but looks a little fragile, so make sure the dog doesn't knock it !
    Incidentally - very quick delivery.

This is a great piece of kit . The set up is fairly straightforward although the instructions could be clearer . But don't let that put you off .

Great little printer, took a while to get it connected to my network due to security constraints, but its now working fine.

This is a cracking printer which delivers crisp text documents and high resolution photographs nice and quickly. It is VERY compact compared with the majority of printers you’ll see in high street electrical stores or retail parks. It operates wirelessly or via a usb cable connection. N.b. the cable is not supplied, so you will initially have to set up/connect wirelessly if you don’t purchase a cable separately. The printer is capable of handling multiple paper sizes up to and including A4. It takes one multicoloured ink cartridge and one black cartridge in the print head, i.e. does not have separate tanks for cyan, magenta, yellow, etc – this is undoubtedly a factor of its size. You do get proper ‘full’ ink tanks supplied with this model however, not the tiny demo tanks that come with so many other printers. There are handy warning lamps to tell you when the ink tanks are low, so unlike printers of old you will not waste paper sending documents that come out all faded or monochrome. There are apps available so you can print from ios and android devices as well as direct from your pc (although I have not tried the former yet). On the downside, the printer does not have a scanner, though that doesn’t really bother me tbh. My tips for setting up this printer:- 1. The instructions are absolute crap – instead, watch the short Canon videos on Youtube which illustrate much better how to set the printer up (ie how to put the print head in place, how to add the ink tanks, what protective strips etc to remove, what not to touch!). 2. Download the drivers and software from the Canon website if you do not have a disk drive – otherwise use the disk supplied with the printer. 3. Follow the wizard instructions (which mostly consists of clicking ‘Next’ over and over again). 4. Do not panic if your pc or other device apparently fails to find/recognise the printer – this seems to be a common problem, but you will find if you switch the printer and pc off after installation and back on again, often your pc can then immediately find the printer. 5. Do not panic if you get a warning message that the port is busy or the printer offline when trying to print. Providing no warning lamps are flashing on the printer, despite these messages it WILL happily start printing without any intervention whatsoever in a minute or so. In summary, this is a pricey product, but delivers quality results and is oh-so compact and bijoux. I upgraded from a similar model that was about 10 years old.

Very good quality printing & very light & compact -expensive, but worth it if those are your priorities. I'd recommend using the also expensive Canon inks rather than much cheaper Brand X alternatives -my previous Pixma iP110 stopped working, possibly due to dodgy ink.
