Reliable Canon build quality and value for money. Bought to replace a sadly no longer working MG 500 series Pixma. The Maxify is more a small office than home printer and perhaps not the best choice for photo printing. That said text and copies are crisp and delivered reasonably quickly. Ink cartridges are much larger than a Pixma but obviously not as long lasting as ink tank models. Not hard to set up but seems to need a lot of head cleaning to keep prints clear and the right colour balance. Overall not disappointed.

I wanted to change my existing printer from an older HP one that had given good service but was not an all in one. I wanted a good all round machine with duplex printing and of a good but not needing a top in print choose this. So I find this one has exceeded my expectations. The print quality is perfectly good for home office providing good black and white. The colour is good but not as crisp as a genuine photo printer. It printed nonetheless good enough on photo paper for me to do photos in the home office, The scanner works well and is duplex too! what a bonus. Easy to use on wifi and therefore print anywhere. I gave it an easy five stars based on its price, features and performance. This machine takes non genuine cartridges so printing is relatively cheap. Thank you Printer base for a great recommendation.
