Canon MAXIFY GX6050 A4 Colour Multifunction Inkjet Printer

I ordered this printer from printetbase, easy to order and quick delivery and also a telephone call from Printerbase to check up on everything. Once the printer arrived it looked the part once removed from the box. Setting up the printer as a wireless device was a bit of a nightmare and I found I had to remove the device from all my computers and then start the install all over again. Once done this time all worked well. As another person pointed out , the printer loves to go into sleep mode, but following changing quite a few settings the printer now wakes upon request to print. The print quality is good and the colours lifelike. I haven't done any photo printing so I am unable to comment on the quality of the prints. A nice printer but a little difficult to set up correctly. The 3 year warranty is hopefully only an added bonus and will not be required, but it is there if needed.

Works very well and was relatively easy to set up. It’s a little annoying that you need to go to the printer to turn it on every time you use it. I thought I was buying a more environmentally friendly printer by having the ink tanks but I can’t seem to be able to recycle the large refill bottles.

Ordered a Canon gx6050 Inktank from Printerbase to replace an Epson Inktank which was worse than useless - slow, hesitantl, poor print quality and the software was appalling. The Canon is a different experience. It's a little slow to start up when first switched on but then it's quick to copy and print and the software is user friendly. Text is sharp and color images are very acceptable although photographs are a little grainy if viewed close up. At last an Inktank printer that ticks nearly all the boxes.

The printing is good except that colours are not as displayed on screen. The scanner is awful as it scans very dark and does not reproduce the colours on the original. I am considering getting another machine to undertake scanning as the Canon is so poor.

I purchased this printer for home/office use after having had an Epson Workforce printer for 7 years. Print quality is far superior and paper handling is good. Print speed is more than enough for my needs. I have not had the printer long enough to comment on how long the ink lasts but the size of the ink bottles suggest that ink will last a long time compared to using expensive cartridges. Setup was easy though I don't use WiFi as it is connected by Ethernet. I downloaded the latest drivers from the Canon website rather than using the supplied disc. All installed without a hitch. Scanning resolution is adequate, though not as good as my previous Epson and it scans straight to my Windows PC which is good. The small touch screen seems to work well and can be angled out to make it easier to use. Overall I am very happy with the printer though I have yet to come to grips with how the printer deals with different paper types as I have had error messages saying that the loaded paper does not match the paper set on the touch-screen. Some time with the instructions may be in order!

So far the printer has performed well, so time will tell if it lasts. Printerbase were excellent with their customer service.

Ordered this printer on the back of good reviews and value for money. Unfortunately the printer had a fault straight from the start, Printerbase and Canon had it sorted for me within 24 hours. Arranged for collection of the faulty machine and delivery of the new one, and I'm very happy with the printing and scanning quality. Easy set up and generous amount of ink, works a treat. I'm glad I went through Printerbase, brilliant customer service.

The GX6050 printer/copier/scanner produces great quality documents. Easy and intuitive to use as well as being being fast in operation. I recommend this machine.

This printer is an excellent piece of equipment and Printerbase are a first class company to deal with.

Brought this one to replace an older Canon printer scanner. This printer however only lasted 2 weeks with little use and developed a major mechanical fault. Thankfully Canon approved a new replacement which Printerbase quickly replaced. Great service but now hoping this printer lasts.

Great price, service and printer!

The printer does most of what I want it to do and will probably do more once I've got time to learn more about it. I don't think the manual is very clear which doesn't help. Overall pleased though. Great service by Printerbase.

Unpacked it, plugged it in, filled the ink tanks, 2 mins to connect it to the computer. All easy peasy. Expensive to buy but I'm hoping the saving in buying ink cartridges means it's cheaper in the long run. The only downside is that trying to get hold of the maintenance cartridges is seemingly impossible. Once the cartridge is full, the printer will stop working so having a spare one is essential.

The service was great. I even received a phone call to check I had ordered the right model and did not expect duplex scanning. Prompt delivery as promised. The printer is fantastic. And connected to my MacBook Pro, and iPad without any problems. (I did have to check the Canon webpage as the first attempt looked like a scam website). I wish I had bought this printer years ago, as I have wasted hundreds of pounds on ink for cheaper inject models. Just hoping that this will last a good few years, but if previous Canon experience is anything to go by, that should be fine! No hesitation in recommending this Maxify GX6050.
