I'm really pleased overall with this scanner. I had looked at a couple of others which were on offer but I found this to be the best deal at the time. It's dead easy to use with the buttons or software. The only problem I had was with the Canon Software - I downloaded it and for some reason it installed some printer software which kept coming up rather than the scanner software when I clicked on the taskbar icon... Once I realised an sorted it out I've had no issues. I also like the fact that it's powered through the USB cable so only needs that and no separate power cable.

My previous Canon scanner came to the end of its long life so I got the LiDE 300 to replace my older version. For my purposes, it is ideal and works well and am satisfied with it. The instructions could be more clear..

Compatibility Question. Is this scanner compatible with Canon PIXMA iX6850 ?

- Hi Geoffrey, Thanks for the question, Both the Canon CanoScan LiDE 300 Scanner and Canon PIXMA Pro iX6850 Printer are compatible with various versions of operating systems (I.E Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 etc), they aren't linked directly to each other. So if you are wanting to scan a document in using the Canon CanoScan LiDE 300 and then print it on the Canon PIXMA Pro iX6850 using the computer this should be fine as long as the computers operating system is compatible for both devices. Hi is this scanner compatible with MacOS Sequoia 15.2? Unfortunately my old Canon MG4250 isn't!
