Oki C711dn A4 Colour Printer - DISCONTINUED

We have had this printer for three years now, two of which it has not been used. Constantly runs out of colour or an image drum needs replacing. Hopless as the printer will stop even if you want only B&W prints. We have also a smaller OKI which is brilliant but this one is just too expensive and frustrating to have as an everyday printer.

Printer is very capable of printing on thick card, although it does leave a slight curl on the thicker stocks. It is very fast, and fairly simple to use from a hardware point. Software wise I had difficulty getting it to work with the accompanying drivers, while it is set up now there was a bit of panic at the start. This may be down to me though, if I was to set it up again id go straight for a USB connection, this seemed to fix my problems.

The duplex is infuriating as it regularly blocks. The colour output is just ok. We need another colour printer - would I buy another one of these - easy No.

We have had two C711's for over a year now and will now put them into recycling. The print speed and quality are excellent but the printer will stop completely if one colours is low or the image drum needs changing. All the supplies are very expensive and as there are 4 colours and another 4 image drums, there is always one that stops the printer. The high yield (11000 copies) toners can't manage half of that and the same goes to the image drums. All in all a good product but just too expensive to run. We have Dell printers which will carry on printing B&W even if one of the colours is low.

Brilliant little colour laser printer. Best I have ever had and way better than the old HP Color Laserjet that I used to run. Great results, cheaping per page printing costs and super-fast and reliable duplex printing. Very happy with my purchase!
