The Brother MFC-J4620DW replaces a HP Photosmart C4780 which gave good service and lasted around 7yrs. The Brother MFC-J4620DW is a really nice looking all-in-one machine. It also has the fax facility (which I don't really need at this moment in time). The design means that it takes up space efficiently and I find it very quite in operation compared to my last all-in-one. The added bonus is that it is capable of A3 printing. It has individual colour cartridges - black, cyan, magenta and black. Oh, and it has the NFC technology allowing it to connect and print from your mobile phone. Overall, I am extremely happy! Must not forget to give credit to Printerbase. The online ordering and payment system was very straightforward. Their prices are very competitive indeed and the MFC-J4620DW was delivered on the day promised and in pristine condition.

I bought this to replace my ageing MFC-5440CN. Build quality is similar, but there are a number of improvements, like not having to open the printer up to for new ink cartridges. Printing is also very fast, and being able to use A3 occasionally and also feed labels in are real benefits. The design is better in terms of space utilisation, though I wonder how robust the sheet feeder will be - time will tell. Feeding of paper and printing is noisy and a little disconcerting as it sounds like things are going wrong, but they aren't. Being able to blow up A4 to A3 is another added benefit, once you've realised that you have to tell the printer you are using A3. All in all very pleased.

The Spec sheet from brother indicates that the scanner function will only work with Windows XP through 8, and not Win10. Is this the case, or can this be used as a scanner on a Win10 computer?
