Brother MFC-9340CDW A4 Colour LED MFP Printer - DISCONTINUED

I've had this printer over 3 years now and reviewed it when I first got the printer. I am pleased to say that 3 years later I am still very happy with the printer and wouldn't hesitate to recommend one. I had to have a repair on the printer as the fuser had stopped working. This was however after a house move (it was boxed in the original packaging, but it didn't like the move), and the repair was covered under the extended warranty. The support process was very easy (just call them and give them the serial number) and an engineer arrived the next day and fixed the issue.

Very easy to set up, I use it as a wifi linked machine to my other devices. Quality and multi functional use very good for the price. Excellent service from printerbase with next day free delivery

Print quality is good, photo quality adequate. The double-sided scanning and automatic document feeder is a boon for looking after the huge amounts of paperwork generated these days. There are minor issues with print on the back of the page bleeding through on scan but these are trivial. Ability to scan to a remote FTP server or network server excellent. It's hard to get a printer that can also do double-sided scanning for anywhere near this price, so worth looking into. Minor quibbles: 1) The ADF can easily be over-filled - if you do this then you will have your page mangled somewhat and ruin your scan run. 2) Wireless access can be sensitive to interference from other WiFi users on the same channel, took me a good while to track this one down!

Firstly let me start by saying what fantastic service I got from Printerbase. There was a slight delay in the order, but the level of communication was excellent. A big thank you to Stephen Thomas for his hard work. As you can imagine when cramming this many features into a printer at this price there will be some compromises, and there are with this printer. Colour quality is not as good as the best colour lasers and scanning two-sided colour documents can be slow - black and white is very fast though. Otherwise the printer is very good and perfect for a home/small office. I'm very happy with this printer and the best features for me are the double-sided scanning and AirPrint so I can print directly from an iPad. the supplied software is also very easy to use.

This all-in-one is quite simply a great addition to any small office. It is super efficient, nice and quiet and does a great job with most things. Brother have always been a reliable brand for us and we're not about to change it now!

We are a very small concern and needed a new WiFi & wired printer as the ones we had all went wrong. Looked around and for what we wanted they were all extortionate. Came across Brother printers - not used them before. Didn't know which one to choose so had a webchat with a guy at Brother. Told him what I wanted and we narrowed it to a couple and then isolated this one, he even suggested trying Printerbase and they were the cheapest. Prints are clear and quick and scanning works well too. Its quite a big unit but in it's central position it serves the three laptops we have well. Auto feed, double sided printing, and big volume paper tray good. Leave it on all the time and it goes into sleep mode. V quick delivery from Printerbase. Registering guarantee with Brother slight problem but OK.

It's a brother. I've come to expect quality built products that just do what they say with no fuss. This product is no different. Here are the positive points. It is a pleasure to use with the on screen interface which makes every task really straight forward. It doesn't jam. Paper handling seems very good. It is far quieter than an HP MFC I use at work. The cost per page is far lower than others. You can get spare parts. The size is more compact than any other laser MFC I've seen with a document feeder & duplexer. The software provided isn't full of "bloatware". The software installer allows full control of what bits of software you install. Now the negative. Output quality of colour graphics is only average for colour lasers. Fine for colour docs but don't expect high quality photos.

The printer arrived on time and was easy to operate. The price was the best I could find and I can recommend Printerbase

I mostly bought this as it has duplex scanning and printing. Although the setup was quite lengthy I have found its performance and output quality to be excellent. Duplex scan quality has some issues of bleed-through from the back of the page but is perfectly acceptable. Good value even given the price of new toner/fuser units.
