this a good value for money, no-nonsense mono laser printer which does the basic job of printing out decent quality text prints at a quick pace. You can buy a couple of replacement toners for these Brother mono laser printers for just £8 online now.

If the printer is not used for a while it turns itself off. Takes getting used to checking each time if the printer is on. Biggest complaint is the noise level before and during printing

After struggling with the lousy inkjet printers I decided to buy this Brother HL-1110 laser printer. I printed off some notices containing large, thick black font, and even in toner saver mode it looked perfect, and very quick too unlike inkjet printers. I think this will finally be the end of my printer problems.

Although the service by Printerbase is excellent I am very disappointed with this printer and realise you get what you pay for. Poor quality print even after adjusting the level from normal upwards to intense. Obviously this will effect how many pages it can run before you run out of toner. Overheats on a run of over 20 pages and very particular about the paper used. Sorry I did not spend more and buy a better quality printer. I had an HP before which was excellent. A bad buy and a total waste of money.
