Another Victory for Canon
Leader in digital imaging solutions, Canon, is delighted to announce that it has received the 2017 ENERGY STAR ‘Partner of the Year – Product Brand Owner Award’ for the second year running.
Canon has been recognised for its contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions numerous times previously, having made a conscious effort to manufacturer energy-efficient products. And now, the imaging and printing giant has been rewarded once again.
In total, Canon has earned distinction in this regard, three times – once in 2010, then in 2016, and once more, now in 2017. On top of this, Canon has also been identified eleven times since 1996 by the EPA, receiving the gong for both ‘ENERGY STAR Promotion’ in 2011 and ‘Product Labelling’ in 1996, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2008.
Canon has been a partner of ENERGY STAR for over 20 years, boasting a total of over 200 ENERGY STAR certificated products across its ranges. Canon’s commitment towards the development of advanced energy-efficient technologies that deliver the same great performance is ongoing.
Executive vice president, chief administrative office and general counsel, to Canon USA, Seymour Liebman said:
“Environmental consciousness is ingrained in our company culture and this honour is the perfect reflection of that. To be named as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for the second consecutive year speaks a great deal to the way that our company continues to do ‘go green’ in regard to both our product manufacturing and supply chain.”
