Have you grown tired of sending out the same old Christmas cards each year? Well, with a HP Printer, you can now add that little bit extra during the festive period – making the cards you send mean much more.
HP has announced HP Live Photo, which actually allows you to embed videos in printed images for the recipients to see through their smart devices – admittedly, it sounds strange, but stay with us!
Here’s how HP Live Photo works:
You choose an image to print, write your message, then, using your smartphone’s camera, you upload a 45-second video to that image – and print it from your HP Printer.
When the image – be it a Christmas card or anything else – arrives, all the person you sent it to needs to do is open the free app, hold their phone over it and the video will be revealed – and that’s it!
Send a personalised Christmas message to friends and family and, after the festive period, you could even send messages for birthdays, anniversaries etc. – a treat with a real difference for anyone!
Also, the potential for other areas is huge, too – with many marketing professionals keen to see the technology develop even further. The idea of adverts and posters with a video embedded is an exciting thought!
HP Live Photos can be shared by email, Facebook or via the printed version and work on any AirPrint-enabled HP Printer, such as the HP Officejet Pro 8600. The HP Live Photo app is available on iOS and Android now.
