macOS Ventura Compatible Printers

macOS Ventura Compatible Printers written with the Ventura coast behind

Every year Apple release a new OS system. In this post, we will help you find macOS Ventura-compatible printers to ensure you have trouble-free printing with Apple’s new OS for 2022.

Whilst it is exciting to have a new Operating System running. If printing is vital to your business. We do not recommend updating to macOS 13 Ventura until further compatibility has been announced.

Manufacturers’ Advice on macOS Ventura Compatible Printers

Currently, not all printers have drivers suitable for use with macOS Ventura due to the software being new. However, most printer manufacturers have compiled some information on which machines do have driver support.

These will take you to the respective website for information on drivers and which printers will be compatible with macOS Ventura. These will be updated over time to reflect any changes.

Canon macOS Ventura Compatibility

All of the new Canon Printers from 2019 onwards with built-in WiFi can connect via AirPrint only with macOS operating systems.

Please note, a printer must have wireless capabilities to support AirPrint

Canon has a guide on how to print through AirPrint available on the Canon support website.

Xerox macOS Ventura Compatibility

Xerox has compiled a handy guide on what printers are compatible and how to ensure they work with macOS Ventura. This can be found on the Xerox support website.

Kyocera macOS Ventura Compatibility

Kyocera has not made a public announcement on support. However, drivers are available on most of their laser printer lines. Driver support for the entire printer range can be found on the Kyocera support website.

Newer Kyocera printers require the Kyocera Global Download Center for drivers to be found and downloaded. This is because installation disks are no longer bundled in with the printer.

Apple AirPrint With Ventura

Like all Apple devices, the most efficient way to print is through Apple AirPrint. There’s no need for drivers, just wireless connectivity. All of the AirPrint-supported printers we stock are available on our Apple AirPrint printers page.

Please be aware. As simple as Apple AirPrint is to use does come at a cost. Not all printer driver features are available, just the basics. Such as:

  • Setting paper sizes
  • Choosing what paper is in the printer
  • What size to print (It will default to the paper size in the printer)

Airprint is a quick, simple solution to printing. Without the in-depth features of external drivers.

The ideal solution, however, would be a fully macOS Ventura-compatible printer. However, most manufacturers mainly Canon, Brother and HP offer apps with more features than usually found in Airprint.

We recommend avoiding installing any drivers that come with the printer because most Mac drivers are already included in the operating system (In this case macOS Ventura). The majority of printer manufacturers have this in their installation instructions.

We stock a range of AirPrint enabled printers, all of which will be compatible with macOS Ventura. Please visit our Apple AirPrint printer section below.

Hi Ramon

At this point, most printers are compatible with macOS Ventura. A few still have drivers, but Apple pushes towards using AirPrint, where they don’t require drivers.
