HP have launched the “200 Million and Counting” sweepstakes to celebrate the shipment of their 200 millionth LaserJet printer.
The sweepstakes invites customers to upload testimonials to and share how HP LaserJet has helped their business succeed – giving them the chance to land a special edition LaserJet multifunction printer.
The sweepstakes runs through to December 24 2013, and is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, as well as Russia, France, the UK, Germany and China.
The company has also created a collection of limited edition, commemorative HP LaserJet printers that will be on display at HP Customer Experience Centres worldwide – including London, Mexico City and Palo Alto.
“In 1984, HP answered the individual needs of business users with the introduction of the HP LaserJet, the world’s first desktop laser printer. We have continued advancing laser printing technology with devices that have wowed customers – from color printing to combining general office functions like printing, scanning, faxing and copying into one multifunction device.” Mike Hockey, Director of WW Public Relations at HP, explained in a post on HP’s website.
“We shipped our 100 millionth LaserJet unit in 2006. In the seven years since that milestone, we have further redefined the way businesses print and digitize content through the introduction of mobile printing, web-connected printing and cloud-enabled MFPs.
“As we look to the future, we will continue to expand our LaserJet portfolio of hardware, solutions and services to help customers simplify and secure printing processes, increase productivity and lower business costs.”
