Brother MFC-J6510DW Video Review

Nick’s Thoughts:

I get on very well with Brother’s range of A3 inkjets and the new MFC-J6510DW was no exception. It printed out both A4 and A3 sheets of paper very quickly for an inkjet using the standard print quality setting and produced good quality printouts. If you want photo print quality, the high resolution mode produces excellent results if used with photo paper (Brother have their own range of A4 and A3 media).

The Brother MFC-J6510DW includes duplex print, WiFi, large colour display, automatic document feeder and a proper 250 sheet paper tray. What I especially like are the new larger capacity inks that you can buy for this range, which makes it even more suited for office life. If you only need occasional A3, I’d definitely recommend a Brother A3 inkjet.

How well does this printer perform when printing high resolution photos on A4 and A3? I’ve read that the quality is a bit pale and not acceptable. I’m looking for a multifunction printer that would be capable of printing my A3 work sheets and also do the photo printing on A3 size with professional, vibrant quality.

Those photocopies which were taken on the video look also a bit pale.

Hi Markus,
Personally I think the photos from the Brother MFC-J6510DW look great, especially when using a good hi-res image and Brother photo paper but that’s just my opinion and everybody has a different view on what is good or bad with printed photographs.
We could send you some samples but we aren’t going to send you anything that looks rubbish, what would be better though is if you email us some hi-res photos and we will print them on our test machine and post them back to you so you can see the quality for yourself.
Just email them to [email protected] along with your address and we will post them back to you.
