Out with the old, in with the new. The Xerox VersaLink C9000DT replaces the discontinued Xerox Phaser 7800 and offers numerous benefits in this upgrade.
Xerox launched the Xerox
Phaser 7800 series in 2013 and this colour laser printer was aimed squarely at
the high-end design and graphics markets. This printer was sold on both a
PagePack contract and as a non-PagePack machine, and our graphics customers
loved the machine and the service.
Goodbye
Xerox Phaser 7800
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and the Xerox Phaser 7800 sadly is one of them. Xerox discontinued the Xerox Phaser 7800 at the end of 2018 and replaced it with the Xerox VersaLink C9000DT.
If you own a 7800 don’t worry about getting your hands on consumables. We still sell Xerox Phaser 7800 ink and toner at Printerbase.
Benefits
of the Versalink C9000DT
The new Xerox VersaLink
C9000DT is a big upgrade on the previous model. The latest model comes with a
320GB hard disk drive (HDD) as standard which was an additional cost on some of
the previous phaser 7800 models.
Also, the Xerox VersaLink
C9000DT will print up to 350gsm as standard, whereas the previous model went up
to 300gsm. If you wanted to print up to 350gsm you had to purchase a heavy-duty
media kit for the Phaser 7800 which was approx. £300 ex vat.
Not only that, Xerox has improved the processor power, the memory, and the fast
page out speed, and added Apple Airprint, mobile and cloud print. Essentially
Xerox has made the new Xerox VersaLink C9000DT a
must buy for any high-end graphics customer.
