Printerbase sponsor Hyde United’s Roary the Tiger

On the day when Hyde United became a community-owned, supporter-run football club, many fans expressed their excitement about obtaining a new ‘Tiger’ mascot uniform for the club.

The old mascot uniform was, unfortunately, starting to fall apart. So, recognising the need to raise the club’s profile within the town and to help create a lasting presence within the community, this started many discussions on how money would be raised to purchase the mascot.

The Ashton-based printer specialists, Printerbase Ltd, who also support Hyde Community Matters as an online page sponsor, immediately recognised the community synergy and agreed to sponsor ‘Roary’ on a two-year deal.

Made locally in Denton by master mascot makers, FRENZY, Roary will be making his first public appearance tonight at Hyde United’s Ewen Fields, where the club is hosting a fabulous Family Fun Fair & Firework Extravaganza!

Roary the Tiger will also be out and about around the town from time to time, especially at weekends and during the school holidays, giving away prizes, stickers or just wanting handshakes.

Roary’s likeness will also be showing up in competitions, and, the larger than life Roary will be spotted throughout the season at community events all around the town where he’ll always be up for a photo’ selfie!

Also, as part of Hyde United and Printerbase’s desire to interact with local schools through boosting their interest in 3D printing, producing school newsletters, encouraging sport participation and reporting, along with managing their print costs, Roary would be delighted to pay them a personal visit.

So if you’d like to welcome Roary, the club’s new mascot, to your neck of the woods he’d be only too pleased to visit.
