Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print launched

The Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print has been released by the printer manufacturer – making Ricoh printers and multifunctions Google Cloud Print-ready for businesses.

Print servers come at a huge cost to businesses, but nowadays, they are not particularly necessary – you can print through the cloud!

To help with this, the Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print has been launched, giving businesses and organisations the ability to easily print from smartphones, tablets, laptops and other devices, without the need for expensive print servers and drivers – potentially achieving significant savings.

Ricoh printers are designed with a focus on information mobility – helping users make information instantly accessible.  The Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print is the latest example of how workers can easily access, transform and manage information.

The solution from Ricoh allows businesses, nonprofits, agencies and schools to leverage the capabilities of their business-class document services at a lower cost. For example, the Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print web printing services is ideal for primary schools where many students may use cloud-friendly Google Chromebooks.

The Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print’s installation process is a quick and simple operation, with a a Ricoh technician embedding a Java applet, often from a remote management console. Invited users or authorised guests can then print directly from their Chrome web browser or other Cloud Print-ready application.
