Due to a supply chain issue Epson have changed the part numbers on some of their Epson ink cartridges.
The issue was apparently down to the availably of a component from a third party supplier.
The new Epson Inks function in exactly the same way and you will notice no difference using the new inks, but because of the change Epson had to create a new part number and they have done so by just replacing the last character in the part number with the letter N.

Conclusion
Epson’s decision to change some ink cartridge part numbers can look confusing at first glance, especially if you already have established product codes in your systems or on your website. However, for UK customers the key message is simple. The new N part numbers represent genuine Epson cartridges that perform exactly like the originals.
