A woman from Indiana, USA, who lost a diamond from her engagement ring more than four years ago ring has revealed that the jewel was returned after being found in her old printer.
Christi Hansen said she wore the ring every day for 13 years until the carat marquis diamond disappeared.
After searching high and low for the jewel, Hansen eventually gave up, with her husband buying her a replacement ring.
However, when Wayne Sutton, a technician, was working on Hansen's old work printer years later, he noticed something caught inside the machine.
"I was just looking and it was like right in here," said Sutton. "I thought it was a piece of dust or something, piece of paper, but I was blowing it around and trying to get it out and it wouldn't move.
"I just grabbed it and I was looking at it and was like, 'this looks like a diamond."
Upon discovering the precious stone, Sutton returned it to an overjoyed Hansen, who couldn't believe her luck.
"I don't know what to think, what to feel. I just, I couldn't believe it, what he was showing me," she said.
