Xerox Phaser 7760 Colour A3 Printer is now DISCONTINUED!!!

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

It’s true. The Phaser 7760 machine (previously known as the 7750 and before that the 7700) has finally gone end of life. This marks the end of an A3 laser engine that Xerox have been manufacturing for around 10 years in total and makes way for a totally new range of HiQ LED engines capable of resolutions of up to 2400×1200 dpi (model dependant).

We’ll be able to give you full information on the replacement to the 7760 when it’s launched next week and from what we’ve already seen you won’t be disappointed.

It’s been a long time coming but we’re pleased to report that Xerox has now launched its brand new high end colour laser printer – the fantastic Xerox Phaser 6700.

The Phaser 6700 replaces the Phaser 6360 machine but they’ve seriously ramped up the specs:

Print speed was 40ppm now 45ppm >> 12.5% increase
Basic RAM was 256mb now 1024mb >> 400% increase
Processor was 1Ghz now 1.25GHz >> 25% increase
Resolution was 2400x600dpi now 2400x1200dpi >> 100% increase in one dimension
Max. paper input was 2,350 sheets now 2,900 sheets >> 23% increase
Standard paper output was 250 sheets now 500 sheets >> 100% increase

New features include:

  • 10.9cm touch screen user interface
  • Gigabit ethernet connection
  • Optional Finisher – 1,000 sheet output with offset collation and a 50 sheet stapler
  • 256-bit encryption for data sensitive environments
  • 160Gb Productivity Kit with optional Image Overwrite setting for increased security
  • Super high yield toners to minimise interruptions
  • One exciting addition is the new zero commitment PagePack available on this model. If you don’t want to worry about planning for your next set of toner you can simply pay a set cost per page. There are no coverage limitations and if you don’t print you don’t pay. Simple!

Xerox Phaser 7500 A3 Colour Laser Printer – now back in stock

    Friday, September 30th, 2011

We were lucky enough to get our hands on the first new batch of Xerox Phaser 7500′s shipped into the UK after they unexpectedly sold out across Europe several weeks ago. We feel that these machines offer something totally unique, which is why we use one in our office.

    Here’s our video review:

    Nick’s Thoughts:

The Xerox Phaser 7500 machine has fantastic print quality and handles paper exceptionally well. Build quality is second to none and it’s brilliant design means very little maintenance is required. Toners and other consumables are very easy to replace and clearing any paper jams is extremely simple (although we’ve not actually had one so far).

PagePack is where Xerox really outshines the competition. If you’re looking for a printer to primarily print high coverage A3 sheets then expect to go through dozens of toners, imaging units, fuser units… However, if you opt for PagePack there’s no need to worry because you could pay as little as 6.6p per page regardless of toner coverage! All consumables are included plus full manufacturer onsite support for that one low cost per page. That’s the reason our Phaser 7500 is on PagePack.

Xerox Office Fax IF6020 vs IF6025

    Thursday, September 15th, 2011

The Office Fax IF6020 machine only has two receive modes:

Automatic The machine will always try to receive a fax. If it’s a voice call the user will not be made aware and the call will be lost.
Manual The machine will ring continuously until the user picks up the call. If it’s a fax, the user will then have to press a button to receive it.

We would only recommend the Xerox Office Fax IF6020 for customers with a dedicated fax line or those who only want to receive faxes when they are next to the machine.

The Xerox Office Fax IF6025 machine is a whole different story. This model is suitable for a shared phone and fax line due to having four receive modes:

Automatic Same as IF6020 but will do an internal pseudo ring if the call is not a fax.
    Manual Same as IF6020.
Phone/Fax Same as IF6025 automatic mode but continues to do an internal pseudo ring while checking if it’s a fax or voice call.
TAD/Fax Use this if you plug an answering machine into the unit. The unit will expect the call to be picked up by the answering machine (or user) and then will listen for fax tones. If it’s a fax the unit will then cut off the call to the answering machine (or user) and receive the fax.
