Epson have revealed the details of their revolutionary new solution for printers, with the introduction of Epson RIPS toner - also known as 75,000-page ink cartridges!
Speaking at a press conference in Vienna, Epson launched the RIPS - Replaceable Ink Pack System -solution and outlined their plans for growth within the business printing market, highlighting the products they have developed to enable it.
Epson RIPS toner is at the forefront of the plans put in place, with the printer manufacturer leveraging their industrial print head technology, PrecisionCore, to develop the range available to users.
Epson RIPS toner will offer businesses a series of inkjet products that will allow them to deliver 75,000-pages worth of uninterrupted printing - removing the need to regularly change their consumables. It is thought that the Epson RIPS are expected to assist Epson's aim in making the shift from laser to inkjet in the business printing market.
The Replaceable Ink Pack System has been specifically developed to help businesses take full advantage of a localised printer fleet's benefits, but with the predictable costs of a centralised model. Epson have also addressed the impact of printer maintenance issues and resulting downtime within the office in the design process of the products.
Andrew Semple, head of business imaging at Epson Europe, said: “This is the next generation of Epson Inkjet technology, and offers more flexibility and potential than laser, meaning superior scope for development and the ability to evolve in-line with changing market needs.”
Epson have also announced the launch of a range of new business inkjet models that offer improved print speeds and increased reliability to their existing business inkjet options.
The four models, which will be exclusively available through select print service partners under managed print service agreements, are the WorkForce Pro WF-5690DWF, the WF-5620DWF, the WF5190DW and the WF-5110DW.
