The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 All In One Inkjet Printer has been named as a CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honouree, Epson have announced.
The revolutionary Epson EcoTank ET-4550 is a model from the series of supertank printers that come ready with two years’ worth of ink in the box.
Products entered in the prestigious programme are judged by a panel of independent industrial designers and engineers, along with members of the trade media to honour outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 27 product categories.
Products chosen as CES Innovation Honourees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.
The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 addresses a big customer issue point in printing; the frustration of running out of ink.
The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 is part of the supertank printer category that do not use ink cartridges. Instead, this Epson EcoTank device features super-high-capacity, refillable ink tank – with enough ink in the box to print up to 11,000 black and 8,500 colour pages.
“The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 marks a fundamental shift in the way home and business users will think about printing in colour and sets a new standard of convenience and value in the printer market,” said Nils Madden, marketing director, Desktop Imaging and Printing, Epson.
“The CES 2016 Innovation Awards commend ground-breaking technologies and we are thrilled our new EcoTank printer is part of this year’s group of honorees as an example of cutting edge innovation.”
The Epson EcoTank ET-4550 was evaluated based on its engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace and unique features present.
