Canon refresh all-in-one inkjet range

Canon have unveiled three new All-in-One inkjet printers to their home printing range. Designed for personal and home office use, the PIXMA MG5740, MG6840 and MG7740 are built with connectivity at their heart and combine enhanced cloud and Wi-Fi functions with new high quality printing technology, to make printing and sharing photos and documents easier than ever.

Offering print, copy and scan functionality, the latest models work seamlessly with a variety of apps and cloud services, and are now compatible with Instagram and Slideshare, opening up the possibility for users to print from a greater range of popular social networks and business services. Using PIXMA Cloud Link, users are able to access these services directly from the printers’ touch screens, removing the need to use a PC or separate connected device.

The PIXMA MG5740, MG6840 and MG7740 also make it easy to access and print directly from a range of popular cloud services, such as GoogleDrive, Dropbox, Evernote and OneDrive, as well as uploading scanned documents and photos to Microsoft OneNote.

The PIXMA MG5740, MG6840 and MG7740 all come with Canon’s PIXMA Cloud Link Scan and Remote Print feature, which allows users to scan a document or photo with one printer and print from another in a different location through the cloud. For example, it’s possible to surprise a relative with the latest family picture beautifully printed on their PIXMA printer or make sure you get that document printed to another office location in time for a colleague’s important meeting, even if you’re working from home.

In addition, eco-conscious households can reduce their energy usage thanks to the Auto Power On/Off function, which is activated when sending a print from the cloud.

Getting straight to the print, with enriched quality

Connecting smart devices with the new PIXMA models for printing and scanning tasks is quick and easy thanks to integrated Wi-Fi Direct, which eliminates the need for an internet connection or password. When in a rush, the MG7740’s built in NFC technology allows users to print and scan via the Canon PRINT app in seconds, just by touching their NFC-enabled smart device on the printer.

Once connected, both photos and documents can be printed instantly in stunning quality, using new Canon ink technology which provides enhanced colour reproduction for photo and document printing.

Powerful, high quality printing for the home: the PIXMA MG7740

Replacing the PIXMA MG7540, the new premium All-in-One six-ink MG7740 features a compact sleek design and produces exceptional quality results. Users can enjoy effortless operation and straightforward navigation of the photo printer’s functions with the support of an 8.8cm touch screen, as well as Canon’s unique Intelligent Touch System interface. Thanks to the six individual ink cartridges, the MG7740 produces high resolution images up to 9600dpi with smooth gradations, even in monochrome prints.

Stylish, connected home printing: the PIXMA MG6840 and MG5740

Replacing the PIXMA MG6640 and MG5640 respectively, the MG6840 and MG5740 enable anyone to print both high quality pictures and important documents in the comfort of their home, with their five-ink print systems. Both printers offer the freedom of printing from a range of cloud services, including connecting to and printing from smart devices and Wi-Fi enabled cameras.

All three new PIXMA printers support optional XL cartridges, which allow users to print more for less.
