Brother reveal range of Mopria-certified printers

After Brother announced that they have become an executive member of the Mopria Alliance, they have now revealed their selection of Mopria-certified printers.

The Mopria Alliance is a global association of leading technology firms, who are working on unified mobile printing from smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices – making mobile printing easy and accessible for everyone.

The Brother Mopria-certified printers and multifunctions have been released by the printer manufacturer, with the following machines all included: HL-L8250CDN, HL-L8350CDW, HL-L8350CDWT, HL-L9200CDW, MFC-L8600CDW, MFC-L8850CDW and MFC-L9550CDW.

To access the new benefits of the Mopria-certified printers, users must download the latest device firmware from the Brother Support Centre. From there, you can then download the Mopria Print Service app, which will works on devices with Android 4.4 or later – download it here.

With both of these in place, users can take full advantage of simple, intuitive mobile printing on their wireless network from their Mopria-certified printers.

Frank Martin, Brother’s Senior Director of Product Development, said: “Brother is excited to join the Mopria Alliance and bring to market our very first Mopria-certified printers.

“We believe mobile device printing will continue to grow in importance to our customers, and we’re proud to do our part to support this drive for standardisation.”
